Laurie Fairchild
author – wildlife biologist
Laurie Fairchild started her career as a biologist working at the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill.
Twenty-eight years later, she retired after working with private landowners in northwest Minnesota. She lives in Wyoming now and enjoys picking up rocks she can’t identify and exploring new sights with her horse and her dog, companions that know their way home no matter the trail.
